The Haldon Heroic CX Sportive, now in it’s 6th year, will take place from Exeter Racecourse on Saturday 18th April 2020. Places are limited to 300 across the three routes.
The Haldon Heroic course has been specifically designed as a Sportive for the Cyclocross or Gravel Bike rider. However it is equally suitable for XC and MTB Bikes. The Haldon Heroic offers you a choice of three routes. The CX-Micro (15 miles), the CX-Medio (37 miles) and the CX-Mega (51 miles).
The Haldon Heroic routes use a mixture of Devon Country Lanes, Green Lanes, Bridelways, Forestry Tracks, and Open Common.
The Haldon Heroic 2020 Courses
* The Haldon Heroic CX-Micro
The Haldon Heroic CX Micro Route starts and finishes at Exeter Racecourse. It covers a total distance of approximately 15 miles (24 km) with 1100 ft of climbing.
* The Haldon Heroic CX-Medio
The Haldon Heroic CX-Medio route starts and finishes at Exeter Racecourse. It covers a total distance of approximately 34 miles (60km) with approximately 2,660 ft of climbing.
* The Haldon Heroic CX-Mega
The Haldon Heroic CX-Mega route starts and finishes at Exeter Racecourse. It covers a total distance of approximately 51 miles (82 km) with approximately 3,850 ft of climbing.
All Haldon Heroic routes will be clearly signed and marshalled and electronic routes are available for download in a variety of formats for those with GPS enabled bike computers.
When participating in the Haldon Heroic CX Sportive you can be confident that you will be fully supported from start to finish.
There is a Feed Station at 25 miles (Chudleigh Knighton) on the Mega route. There is a Feed Zone at Luton – 20 miles for the Medio route and 36 miles for the Mega route. Refreshments will also be available at Exeter Racecourse at the finish.
All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and T-shirt.
